The smart hand wash system uses an IR sensor that detects the motion of the object. So, when a person puts his hand under the water tap, the IR sensor detects its motion, and the tap starts the water flow downwards.
When the person removes his hand from under the tap, the water flow stops. This way, only the required amount of water is made available to the person, and the rest of the water gets saved for later use.
